STRUCTURE NO. 151.6: GSP UNDER EAST PASSAIC AVENUE (CR 562)

IMPROVEMENTS:

• Reconstruction of deck, sidewalks, railings/parapets and lighting
• Roadway milling and resurfacing of East Passaic Avenue at both approaches
• Guide rail, curb, sidewalk, fencing and traffic striping on East Passaic Avenue

CONSTRUCTION:

• Construction work to be performed in four (4) stages
• Temporary traffic shifts will be utilized to facilitate the work
• Work to begin on or about Summer 2019

September 4, 2020

• The pedestrian walkway over the East Passaic Avenue Bridge has been temporarily relocated to the south side of the structure.
• During the weeks of 09/07/20 through 09/14/20, bridge deck reconstruction work will continue as well as curb, sidewalk and guide rail construction on the bridge over the Garden State Parkway. Work will be supported by Nutley Police as necessary.
• On 09/08/20, a new traffic pattern will be implemented on the bridge over the Garden State Parkway. This new configuration will include temporary closures of the East Passaic Avenue roadway shoulders to allow final roadway restoration and construction at the bridge area. Work will be supported by Nutley Police as necessary.

August 28, 2020

• A new work zone has been created on the north side of East Passaic Avenue between Harrison Street and Milton Avenue for bridge demolition and construction work. Work will be supported by Nutley Police as necessary.
• The pedestrian walkway over the East Passaic Avenue Bridge has been relocated to the south side of the structure.
• During the weeks of 08/31/20 through 09/07/20, bridge deck reconstruction work will continue on the bridge over the Garden State Parkway.
