STRUCTURE NO. 151.6: GSP UNDER EAST PASSAIC AVENUE (CR 562)

IMPROVEMENTS:

• Reconstruction of deck, sidewalks, railings/parapets and lighting
• Roadway milling and resurfacing of East Passaic Avenue at both approaches
• Guide rail, curb, sidewalk, fencing and traffic striping on East Passaic Avenue

CONSTRUCTION:

• Construction work to be performed in four (4) stages
• Temporary traffic shifts will be utilized to facilitate the work
• Work to begin on or about Summer 2019

July 24, 2020

• A new work zone has been created on the north side of East Passaic Avenue between Harrison Street and Milton Avenue for bridge demolition and construction work. Work will be supported by Nutley Police as necessary.
• The pedestrian walkway over the East Passaic Avenue Bridge has been relocated to the south side of the structure.
• During the weeks of 07/27/20 through 08/10/20, bridge deck reconstruction work will continue on the north side of the bridge.

July 17, 2020

• The pedestrian walkway over the East Passaic Avenue Bridge has been relocated to the south side of the structure.
• During the weeks of 07/20/20 through 07/27/20, bridge deck reconstruction work will continue on the north side of the bridge.
• On Wednesday, 07/22/20, East Passaic Avenue will be closed 6:00AM to 2:00PM between Milton Avenue and Harrison Street for bridge related work.  Traffic will be detoured to Bloomfield Avenue.  This work will be supported by Nutley Police.
